Born 1974 in Tübingen. Director, author, visual artist. Studies: Sculpture at the Kunstakademie München; Film directing at Munich School for Television and Film. Since 2005 lecturer and mentor at various film and art schools. Co-Founder and Co-Editor of the Filmmagazine „Revolver“, together with S. Kutzli and C. Hochhäusler. His feature films, videos, painitngs and Instalations have been exhibited at Exhibitions and Festivals at ZKM Karlsruhe, Haus der Kunst München; at the Cannes Film Festival and the Berlin International Film Festival; at Kunstmuseum Stuttgart; at the Videonale Bonn; at MoMA, New York; art fair berlin; and permanently at NS-Dokumentationszentrum (Documentation Centre for the History of National Socialism), Munich. Awards (Selection): Major Festival Awards at Paris, Geneva, Anger, Barcelona, Calgary, Dublin, First Steps Award; several Max Ophüls Awards ; the Culutral Award Bavaria; the Bavarian Film Award; the Cultural Award of the City of Würzburg as well as the Austrian Film Award.
