#blacktivist is a statement on police brutality, selective enforcement, and the right of self-defense. Mario Pfeifer conceived this project with the Flatbush ZOMBIES, a rap group based in Brooklyn. The 2-channel video installation features Pfeifer’s music video for the ZOMBIES’ new song Blacktivist, that went viral on YouTube within days counting more than 3.3 million views as of today. It is juxtaposed with the investigation of new techniques for private gun production in the US and conversations with the rappers.
